Meaning and emotion control the quality of life. I learned that from TR (Tony Robbins). But ofcourse, there are more lessons, insights and profound stories and poems that rock you to your core. In the good way. To me they work like a good upgrade to my operate system that handles experience and life as a whole. But what if an outside event messes that all up? Like a virus in a computer network?
We all go through those phases when life seems to be against us. Negative thoughts never help to make things better. So how do you find a better one that really empowers you?
Often that’s easier when you’re not in chaos. And the great thing is, that we don’t need to be in peril to recognise the thoughts and principles that will help us in bad times. To reset our minds the right way. Like a source code.
I have a nice notebook with a leather cover and parchment paper pages.
I write down stories, poems, quotes and at times transcripts. Words and thoughts that echo a philosophy that is like mine and that help me to get clarity and determination. Anything I know that will help me rise, really.
Your current circumstances don’t determine who you are or how things will turn out. We all know this. But often it takes longer to set ourselves free than is necessary.
This book is my way of keeping that period as short as possible. To cut through the BS quickly and effectively. And to get back to the important stuff with my full attention. On bad days, I flick through it. I always close the book feeling better.
This is the latest edition to my book. A short poem by Mike Messeroff. It really makes you think, doesn’t it? Better yet, what if it would make you take action?
Happy Sunday!
